eye | outside | eye ⟂⟂⟟𒅆𒇽𒅆 is written for voice and live interactive electronics, built in Max/MSP with SoMax 2 for pre-recorded corpus–system interaction. The corpus is constructed from double-bass and voice recordings by Işıl Kök Kohl; the composer performs the live voice and electronics layer.
The system does not accompany the performer. It listens, searches the archive of her own earlier playing, and answers with material she has already made — so what returns is recognisably hers and no longer under her control.
